We can provide a tailored fertilising programme to suit every lawn, for every time of the year. We can even send soil samples off to be analysed to find out exactly what is missing.
Moss Treatments
Moss is every garden lover’s enemy. It creeps in during winter when the ground is damp, shade is prevalent and grass cover is poor. We will treat the moss at the correct time of year. Couple this treatment with scarification and seeding for best results.
Weed Killing Treatments
Whether on a lawn or on a hard surface, we can all agree that weeds have no place in any garden. Sapphire Lawn Care will use specialised products to kill weeds dead.
Wetting Agent Treatments
Having worked on golf courses for many years, I have seen the results of using wetting agents during times of drought. When applied, they allow any rainfall, dew or irrigation water to be kept in the ground allowing the roots to access it. Mixed with seaweed will not only give your lawn a lovely colour, but will also aid root development.
Over-Seeding
Over-seeding a lawn is an easy way to fill in bare spots, improve the density of turf, establish improved grass varieties and enhance your lawn's colour. Only the best seed will be used!
Scarification & Aeration
All very important factors when trying to keep a lawn healthy. Over the course of the year, your lawn has to go through some trying times, whether that be drought, heatwaves, constant rainfall, frost, even humidity. All these factors affect your lawn in different ways, including dying grass, thatch and moss build up. When this does happen. When this does happen, mechanical work may be needed.
Scarification- This is the removal of dead material (thatch), moss and weeds. Ripping out the dead material allows your lawn to breathe again, also allowing nutrients and moisture to get into the soil so the plant stays healthy.
